Today I took a selfie with a hen. She is one of my favourites on the farm. As soon as I open my front door she is there, honestly if you haven't seen a chicken run please, I beg of you go to your local farm and ask to see it. Its the most entertaining thing to see. Elegance is not their forte but when they skid to halt or try and turn a corner things do get messy.

This particular black headed hen is awesome. At first she was so frightful of humans and never really came near, however, over time she started creeping into my house and being my very own personal hoover, clearing the scraps from my corners, and an added bonus... She doesn't shit in the house either!

She has attracted followers now. Word must have spread of out crumbly delights that feeds her so delightfully. We have had 5 hens and 1 cockroll in our house on a good day. However we swiftly remove them as they haven't the certasy as 'black headed hen' the mess on my carpet is beyond gross.

Our current cockroll is called 'marley' and he is big, magnifiscent and he knows it. Doing his call throughout the day making sure we all know he is about. Our previous cockroll 'james' was also just as magnificent however they share similar personalities. Being the pimps of the neighbourhood. Everyday strolling about the farm, with his ladies following him, grooming him, bending over for him haha, however he is a kind considerate bird and only does the deed inbetween meals and in the privacy of our front garden. Spread those wings marley you beast!

So today I sit and I'm editting a film and my door is wide open. All 3 of the dogs who live on the farm roam in and out without a care and my care is not given towards them either. Be free dogs, so as you wish

However I still had this burning sensation in the back of my mind that someone out there was watching me. I didn't think to turn around for 3 or so hours because I'm a hard worker and my focus was to focus.... And not procrastinate on the Internet, I mean who would do that?!?!

Anywho, 3 or so hours later I'm feeling rather stiff and need a stretch. I turn around and what do I see? 'black headed hen' asleep on the matt behind me! She had been there the entire time. This threw a whole new excitement into my life. Selfie!

She was such a poser. Everytime I would turn my head at a tilt she would do the same imitating me. We captured the moment perfectly and here it is for you today.

Enjoy.

Thanks for reading

See you soon
